The CragX Bouldering Leaue had it’s usual friendly format with 15 Problems in three levels of difficulty, to cater for all levels of climber.
The top three scores from the four rounds count towards the league result, so if you missed more than one round you will get a relatively low score.
Spot (raffle) prizes of climbing shoes, donated by Boreal, Evolve, Five Ten and Scarpa were won on the night.

The training board has a 16 sqmetre, 40 degree board, 4.5 m in length which then drops back via a hanging arete into a 12 degree section. It is covered in many types of hold shape and orientations. It a has a fully fitted one piece mat. The board is designed for climbers to build up thier power and power endurance by creating thier own problems and circuits and recording them in the board book. We will occasionally mark up problems at specific grades for your convenience.

Customers can now gain wireless access onto the internet.
There is no charge for the service, simply bring along your laptop and when sitting in the cafe/reception area connect straight onto the “cragx” network.

It is now possible to join the Foundry as a Bouldering Only Member. So, if you are over 18 years of age and have bouldered at other climbing walls and/or on rock outdoors then you can use the Foundry.
You are not required to know about ropes, harnessess and knots. You just need to complete the registration form correctly and be aware of the roped climbing areas and keep well away from them.
If you have no bouldering/climbing experience then you can attend one of our Adult Instructed Sessions. Call us on 0114 2796331 for details.

Off Peak weekdays before 4pm is £4
Off peak weekends after 4pm is £4
Any other time £5.50 (For working adults who are Regular User members (costs £10/year) otherwise £6.50.
Students £4 at any time
(ONLY £3.50 if you are a Regular Student User)
Under 18’s are £3.50 any time.
