Cala Gonone - Sardinia. By Paul Reeve

Cala Luna.

A stunning unspoilt beach. For those of you that have been to Thailand, and climbed on Anderman Beach, this is better. Araj, probably one of the best 7a+s in the world. Great caves, great routes, great beach, and Thank god its 11/2 hr walk in when the ferry's not working. Hopefully this place will remain as unspoilt as it is today.

Biddiriscottai(Grottone). Wow!!
The crag is south facing, although the sun does move off most of the crag late in the afternoon. Great location on the beach, some stunning cave routes of various grades with nothing to hard, just lots of ticking? It also has one of the most amazing 6b+ (Aberrante) any where, in effect you climb down the route having done the first pitch and there back up again to take the gear out???? Try La Spalliera. It looks hard but isn't that bad for 7a and if your going well do the direct finish for 7b+.

Dorgali.
We thought it a bit scrappy, but there are lots of routes, and you can tick all day? You never know it maybe possible to tick all 50 routes if you get up earlier enough?

La Poltona.
On the hill above Cala you can't miss it. We didn't get around to visiting this crag, it was just the thought of climbing on slabs all day in the hot sun. Well what ever takes your fancy.

El Chorro.
It looks a small crag from the road, but its bigger than it looks , worth a quick look for the 5mins walk from the road.
