Click here to view larger image.By car ~ heading south on the Autoroute du Soleil (A7) from Paris, take the junction for the D22 Avignon South (sign posted Apt ~ Bonnieux) and then the N100 to Apt. Eventually you will see signs for Apts centre follow these past the train station which should be on your left and several large supermarkets including the infamous wine pumping station where you can fill up on premium local wine by the litre at a stupidly low price. Keep on this road until you reach a bridge and cross-roads, if you were Click here to view larger imageheading to the crags you'd carry straight on and then first right after about 800 metres but you need to take the left turn to find the campsite. The river should be running parallel with the road on your left, just after the petrol station (VW garage) take the next left turn. Carry on this road past the infant school with a small play climbing wall and then after passing under a bridge take the next possible right turn behind the school and finally into the campsite. You can get to Buoux on the D113 which leads direct from Apt to the small village of Buoux and then on to the Fort (see parking map attached).

From the N100 follow the signs for Bonnieux if my memory serves me right the campsite is well sign posted as you approach the village if no the locals are friendly so just ask at the Bar Caesar in the centre. If your approaching from the south either on the A9 or A8, take the A51 from Aux-en-Provence heading towards Pertuis then follow the signs for Cadenet and once there continue on the D943 through Lourmarin and then either head direct to Bonnieux or Buoux then Apt.
By plane ~ there are several airports within driving distance of Buoux the closest is Marseille then Nice and finally Lyon you will have to check with your local travel agents which you can fly to. Expect to pay between 11000~17000 francs per week for a basic hire car out of season.
