Getting Here

You’ll find The Grampians mountain range about 3 hours North West of Melbourne in the state of Victoria. Mount Stapylton is to be found right at the most Northern tip of this 80km range about 20 minutes South East of the town of Horsham.

From Melbourne take the Western freeway (M8) for about 80km to the town of Ballarat.

- there the road turns into the Western Highway (A8) which you should follow for about 140km passing through Ararat heading for Horsham

- 20km after the giant Koala (you’ll know what I mean when you see it) take a left onto the North Grampians rd and follow for 13km until you can take a left onto Plantation rd (posted Olive plantation) and follow for 5 km’s

If you’re traveling from Horsham way then exit this town on the A8 heading to Melbourne

  • a few km’s after Horsham take a right on Laharum rd (posted Wonwondah East) and follow for 23km
  • @ the T-junction take a right onto North Grampians rd for 4.5km
  • take a left onto Plantation rd (posted Olive plantation) and follow for 5 km’s
