Beware of where you are, or like us you'll find yourself manically searching for your kit or mates. A trail of bread crumbs (or chalk) mightn't go a miss. This is a very popular spot with families and children, so if you're taking your own you might want to keep them on a leash.

Ed Morgan on a red problem. Photo A Harris. You'll definitely need a crash pad as some of the boulders are a little on the high side, although the landings are generally good. There didn't seem to be that many hard problems (ie. Font 7b and above) although the white 7b+/7c left of the red 19 is a total classic as is the sit down start to the red 5 at a more amenable 7a+.

Resin doesn't seem to be in use here so please leave your pof rags at home. Have fun!

How to get there,

From Apt or Bonnieux get on the N100 and head to Avignon and then on towards Remoulins. Before this town follow signs to Uzes and from here to La Capelle. Park in the village square opposite the church and follow the road upwards towards the hill. At an apparent dead end you should see a small wooden arrowed sign pointing upwards to "Escalade". Follow this path for 20 meters and the boulders start immediately on the right.
