location
Misja Pec is physically in the centre of Europe. There are
a number of ways to get there. It may take some organising
to find the cheapest, but in the end they are all about the same.
There are cheap flights to Venice (£80 return) but then you can't
take a rental car across the Slovenian and Italian border.
Alternatively you can pay slightly more to fly direct to Ljubljana
and have a car waiting at the airport. This avoids the hassle
of finding your own way from Venice to Koper (Slovenia).

Option
One - Flying to Venice
Step One
Ryanair fly direct to Venice for about £80 return from Stanstead.
Step Two
The airport they use in Venice is at Treviso, 30kms from the centre,
so in order to get the train to the border it is necessary to firstly
get the shuttle bus. This bus, leaves from the car park in
front of the airport. It is fairly regular and timed to coincide
with the arrival of flights. It only costs about £4 and takes
about an hour. Tickets can be bought at the airport.
The bus gets very busy with people staying in Venice for a cheap
weekend.
Step Three
After you've walked around Venice, the train to Trieste, costs about
£10 and will take 3 hours. Again they are fairly regular and
the journey along the coast is pleasant. We took the 23.00
train and arrived at about 02.00
Option
Two - Flying to Ljubljana
Flying direct
to the capital is slightly more expensive but saves the convoluted
method of taking the cheap option to Venice.
Cars can be hired at the airport and the drive to the village of
Osp is simple and only takes 1 1/2 to 2 hours.
The cheapest
flight to Ljubljana I could find was about £250.
Well worth it.
