The women's final started well with all the competitors managing to flash the first problem to the relief of Graeme after the problems in the semi-final. Problem two proved more demanding with only Mi Sun Go managing to flash the problem, Natalia succeeded on her second attempt and Claire failing to score any points. The final problem consisted of a lengthy traverse finishing on the roof section of the Troll leading wall. First on the problem was Claire Murphy although climbing well she was unable to progress passed the second bonus hold. Natalia Perlova climbed passed the point reached by Claire and looked to be in for a flash until the final hold span when she attempted to grasp it.The judges announced a technical incident and she was allowed to have another attempt after Mi Sun Go. Mi Sun Go looked uncomfortable on this final problem and only manage to reach the second bonus hold. Perlova could win if she just managed to complete the problem within the two minutes allowed. She knew time was not on her side and climbed fast through the first section just as she flicked for the final hold the marshal called time. Neither Perlova nor the crowd could believe the result Mi Sun Go had won, after careful deliberation Graeme felt it only fair to issue equal prize money to Natalia and Mi. In the end, all the competitors had a good time and the audience was entertained with an exciting final.
